Grace Church School has about 65 children & youth from ages 3˝ to Grade 9 registered in our program.  For Kindergarten through Grade 6, we use a 'workshop rotation' model called “Power Xpress.”  The lessons are based on faith stories focusing around topics such as Friendship or Advent or the Beatitudes. Different workshops (Cooking, Art or Crafts, Storytelling (drama), Music, Games, Science, Movies or Computers) are presented to help the children experience the story or theme in different ways. The children are divided into two age groups (Kindergarten - Grades 2 and Grades 3-6).  Each week they attend a different station.  At the end of the 7 week rotation, there will be a celebration activity before the next rotation Unit begins.

Our younger set (3 & 4 year olds) use the curriculum called “Live B.I.G.” They remain in the same area with a set of consistent teachers while exploring fun and basic ideas about what it means to ‘Believe In God’.

Our volunteer teachers are loving and enthusiastic parents of children or other congregation members, who provide a rotation workshop for six out of 8 weeks.  They prepare the lessons based on their interests (Drama, Singing, Art, etc). Lots of ideas are provided within the curriculum and support is available from paid staff.

Children and youth stay upstairs with parents or guardians for the first part of the service, and after the children's' Circle Time they are dismissed to meet as a group downstairs, where they will hear the story and sing songs before being dispersed to their station for that week.

Grades 7 - 12 meet in the Annex for fellowship, discussion and growth activities. This group is led by Meaghan, a young, vibrant, talented, fun individual the youth really enjoy and relate to.
